Sorry I 've been keeping regular reports, but I was so worried about my home town of C-ckermouth and the business, I had to see for myself. It is disaster on a scale my own eyes have not seen before. Everyone in the town is affected, business are gone include my family shoe shop, £40,000.00 of stock washed away, the shop is a shell and my car is still under water. My heart is broken for my family and for the other townsfolk. But I know them, the community spirit will win through.
The next storm is due soon, we are all hold are breaths.
I will keep reporting, take care guys.

Cold and clear here now. Record breaking events further north. Sad news and massive disruption. Just a few feet ASL can make a big difference and those lovely vantage points near a river carry a big threat these days. Is it these days? ELLIE, we are not out of the woods just yet so there will be yet more water for lough Neagh, the water in which has stayed where it should be. Like you we did not fare too badly over the last few days, just some temporary flooding of roads last night. Surely there will be some relief from this dreadful weather soon.
