This page displays the latest synoptic charts from the UK Met Office.

These charts display the forecast synoptic patterns including isobars and frontal systems out to 120 hours ahead and are updated twice a day.

The charts display the centre of highs (anticyclones) and lows (depressions or cyclones) as well as the maximum or minumum central pressures respectively.

Help This page displays the latest FAX charts available from the UK Met Office (Site Link). FAX charts are based on the Met Office Global model forecast, however they are manually adjusted by human forecasters when considered necessary in order to overcome known biases, error in model initialisation data as well as other results from global models such as the GFS.
